LECTURES: Introduction and course content; Anatomy and tectonic processes in mountain belts. Main themes: 1) Material balance and properties Uplift and subsidence. Topography, crustal and lithospheric thicknesses/structure 2) Wilson cycle tectonics, Ocean-continent transition, Oceanic complexes, exotic terranes.
