3 3 Good Governance: Vet Services  Crucial need for appropriate legislation and strict implementation through appropriate national animal health systems allowing: Early detection, Transparency, Notification Rapid response to animal disease outbreaks Biosecurity Stamping out and Compensation Vaccination when necessary

4 4 What is PVS?  Assessment tool on level of compliance with international standards on Quality and Evaluation of Veterinary Services  Chapter 1.3.3.: Evaluation of Veterinary Services  Chapter 1.3.4.: Guidelines for the Evaluation of Veterinary Services

5 5 Use of PVS  Self Evaluations with internal/OIE experts  Bilateral Evaluations with OIE experts  OIE official procedure (recognized by the World Bank and other Donors)
