19 CRITERIA FOR AWARD SELECTION FOR NON-MEMBERS Friend of 4-H Award  Designed to honor individuals, organizations, or businesses who are not WAE4-HYDP members  Those who have given substantial support to WAE4-HYDP at a Multi- County or State level Meritorious Award  Designed to recognize individuals who are not WAE4-HYDP members  Those who have contributed to the 4-H Youth Development educational program area or profession  Includes University Specialists, Foundation Directors, and others

20 HOW DO I NOMINATE SOMEONE? Fill out nomination forms  Meritorious Award – Form F  Friend of 4-H Award – General Form The individual nominating the winner is required to provide a Biographical Piece on the winner that will be used in the WAE4-HYDP Program Booklet. This piece is not to exceed 250 words. 21 C OLLEAGUE OF THE YEAR AWARDS COLLEAGUE OF THE YEAR AWARDS WERE CREATED TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS BY WAE4-HYDP MEMBERS. ONE OF THE MAJOR PURPOSES OF THE AWARD IS FOR PEERS TO RECOGNIZE OUTSTANDING COLLEAGUES FOR TEAMWORK, WORK EFFORTS AND PROGRAMMING SUCCESS.

22 COLLEAGUE OF THE YEAR AWARDS THREE AWARDS Distinguished Efforts in Colleague Development - actions that help provide employees with opportunities to learn and to be rewarded Outstanding Achievement in the Profession - actions that constitute performance beyond expected standards Exceptional Contributions towards Programmatic Effectiveness - actions that contribute to the maximum success in programming THREE SERVICE GROUPS Years of Service Groups: Achieving Colleague – 1 to 7 years Distinguished Colleague – 7 years or more Meritorious Colleague – 15 years or more
