5. Related literature Software product lines (SPLs) are now more in use in the software industry and are proven to be successful when reusing software (Hartmanis & Leeuwen, 2002). An important part of the method of Niu and Easterwood is founded in the mentioned OVM. This model is developed by Pohl et al. (2005). It describes a case theory by using Fillmore (1968). This method was also used by Metzger and Pohl (2006).
