2.  Howard Gardner suggests there are seven ways people perceive and understand the world.  Each of these ways is labeled “intelligences”.

4. To differentiate instruction is to recognize students varying background knowledge, readiness, language, preferences in learning, interests, and to react responsively. (Hall,T., 2002)

6. DO:  Provide several learning options or different paths to learning  Provide appropriate levels of challenge for all students DO NOT:  Develop a separate lesson plan for each student  “Water down” the curriculum for some students
