2 Vocabulary Injury-Damage or harm done to a person or thing. Slurp- To drink or eat noisly.

3 Mournful-Feeling, expressing, or filled with grief or sorrow. Shrieks- Makes loud, shrill cries or sounds.

4 Sympathy-The ability to share the feelings of another or others. Decency- Proper behavior, in speech, actions and dress.

5 Delivering- Taking or carrying something to a particular place or person. Bulletin board- A board for posting notices, announcements, and pictures.

6 Idioms An Idiom is a phrase that cannot be understood from the meanings of the separate words in it. You can often find Idioms in a dictionary.

7 Making Inferences You take clues from the story and combine them with information you already know.
