I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

7 But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift… 11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. (Ephesians 4:1-7; 11-13, ESV)

The Good Pandemic

"The purpose of this earthly life is to be saturated with the life of Christ. Everything flows from that, every act of courageous witness, every theological insight and every effort to help the poor…God will fill people with His Son's life, and then they will accomplish his work in the world." "(Christ's) indwelling presence heals, restores, and completes us, preparing each of us to take up the role in his kingdom that we alone can fill." Frederica Mathewes-Green, The Jesus Prayer

Mission

“the mission of the church arises from the mission of God and should, therefore, follow the incarnational model of Jesus Christ. mission...describes everything the church is sent into the world to do…“ John Stott John Stott

Wholistic

Christ’s works of compassion were not without thought of their place in His Father’s Kingdom. Bodily works of mercy look beyond the flesh and into the spirit, and when they are integrally Christian, they not only alleviate suffering but they bring grace: that is, they strike at sin. Thomas Merton, No Man is an Island Thomas Merton, No Man is an Island

Humble

“When I go to India, I have to apologize for many things: for Western civilization… for the Christian Church, for it too is only partly Christianized; for myself, for I am only a Christian-in-the-making. But when it comes to Jesus, there are no apologies on my lips… He is our one perfect possession. All else needs to be modified. He alone needs no change. He needs to be followed implicitly.” E. Stanley Jones, Mahatma Ghandi- An Interpretation, 1948

Optomistic
