2 StartTaskPeopleLinksAdvice Assess End T Start Your group will research an African American that will be assigned to each group. The four people are Langston Hughes, Mae Jemison, Frederick Douglass, and Ida B. Wells.

3 StartTaskPeopleLinksAdvice Assess End T Task Your task is to research a famous African American. The class will have four groups with four members. All of you will research the person, and all of you will share it with the class. Two of you will create a poster, poem, or song. Two of you will write a story about the person.

Wells Born in Mississippi in 1862 Was a slave before the Civil War and later, became a teacher Refused to give up her seat on a train Died in 1931
