1 Simple Product Really … but only half of us using it!  Create workshops  for PD days and/or  for any workshop offerings you provide  for their hearing screening (every 10 mins – self manage)  Employees can register online and will only see those workshops that pertain to them  Approval to admin automatic, then auto create leave request  Facilitators full access to lists, take attendance, communicate, view Sub record to know Sub has been requested right in EC  History, PD growth record, certificates.. All automated  Good statistical reporting for PD usage etc. Workshops

2 Enhancements this Year  SUB.970 – describe impact, thoughts  New.ics calendar opportunity  Different email reminders to registrant depending – book a Sub (or not), Sub cost covered or not or N/A  Add position, skills, sector to restrict who can register  New fields to accommodate automate leave/Sub Rec  New Link and can use html in comment  New search by on Web, Show Desc or not.. Workshops

3 Reminders  Reminder: Webform, RSVP for pre-assigning workshops  Reminder: AdminConnect can assign workshops  Reminder: Internal Note = notes for facilitator – inform of what non employees are registered etc.  Goal: Hold location of staff in workshop so appropriate admin is informed (and leave generates appropriately)  When employee registers for workshop – new prompt: Select location(s). Workshops

4 Expected additional changes  New Ability to add message per workshop (eg: Sequential W/Shop reminder to sign up for whole series)… this message will email when person registers and then again when approved … good idea?!  Goal: Approved workshop automatically create leave.  Must fill in Leave Code, Absence Code/Rsn, Approval Y  NEW absence time, location(s), which part of day at each location, Sub Info on registration to get those questions answered for leave(s) and sub record  Problem that Support and Teach apply for the same workshop – only allows for one leave code  Person with multiple jobs – system smart enough to associate appropriate Job Code Workshops

5 Expected additional changes  Goal: Increase the amount of people signing up for workshops - make the workshop list more appealing – fonts and text, newly “posted” workshops area Workshops Considering a ‘ NEW POSTINGS ’ table for newly added workshops??

6 Expected additional changes  Goal: Assist in cancellations and filling waitlists … Allow same day cancellation (and if not yet approved?)  Should Facilitator be able to Cancel and/or Register Waitlists - do proper emailing to ensure Employee knows!  Should employee be able to cancel if workshop at any time for certain workshops - those with no approval, no generate leave? Or select per workshop?.. Would need a new Withdrew code so you can tell when it was done Workshops

7 Other Concerns, Discussion  Who adds/manages the workshops - do you see this to be added at the facilitator level - or to non-core users?  Should we do work on Locations & Rooms to assist in scheduling and finding space?  Should we consider adding additional EVENTS - get people used to using this to find out divisional activities as well as Registering for workshops?  At time of workshops add/change - send.ics to certain calendars automatically to update room and/or location calendars? OR Nightly File better? How do we get those public and room calendars automatically updated? Workshops
