What Saul Saw While Blind “Then Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened he saw no one. But they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank” (Acts 9:8-9).

Psalm 119 : 66, 67, 71 (66), Teach me good judgment and knowledge, For I believe Your commandments. (67), Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Your word. (71), It is good for me that I have been afflicted, That I may learn Your statutes.

What Saul Saw While Blind That He Was A Sinner 1 Timothy 1:15; Luke 18:10-14

1 Timothy 1 : 15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

Luke 18 : 10 - 14 Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, “God, I thank You that I am not like other men--extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.” 13 And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, “God, be merciful to me a sinner!” 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

What Saul Saw While Blind That He Was A Sinner 1 Timothy 1:15; Luke 18:10-14 That His Father’s Religion was Wrong Galatians 1:11-12

But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. 12 For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ. Paul was not guided by human reasoning, but rather by the divine!

What Saul Saw While Blind That He Was A Sinner 1 Timothy 1:15; Luke 18:10-14 That His Father’s Religion was Wrong Galatians 1:11-12 That Conscience Wasn’t a Safe Guide Acts 23:1; 1 Timothy 4:1-2

Acts 23 : 1 Then Paul, looking earnestly at the council, said, “Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.” Though the conscience condemns or excuses us, in and of itself, it is not a proper guide for man.

1 Timothy 4 : 1 - 2 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron” Though conscience alone is not a safe guide, a seared conscience is lamentable

What Saul Saw While Blind That He Was A Sinner 1 Timothy 1:15; Luke 18:10-14 That His Father’s Religion was Wrong Galatians 1:11-12 That Conscience Wasn’t a Safe Guide Acts 23:1; 1 Timothy 4:1-2 That There is No Disgrace in Changing When Wrong Acts 9:5-6; Galatians 1:14-17

Acts 9 : 5 - 6 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” 6 So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

Galatians 1 : 14 - 17 And I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries in my own nation, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers. 15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me through His grace, 16 to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood, 17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.

Amazing Grace "Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me.... I once was lost but now am found, Was blind, but now, I see.
