2  Population: a population is a group of individuals they belong to the same species and live in the same area, all the population needs:  Air  Water  Food  Space  Shelter HOW ARE INDIVUALS, POPULATIONS,COMMUNITIES AND ECOSYSTEMS RELATED

3  Community: is a group of population that interact with each other in a particular area,elephants,zebras and giraffe art at the same community  Ecosystem: is a community of organisms living together alone with the nonliving parts of the enviroment. HOW ARE INDIVUALS, POPULATIONS,COMMUNITIES AND ECOSYSTEMS RELATED

4  Is the number or organims per unit area  Example:  The opulation density of cattle egrets is area ter near the water buffalo, is the greater near the buffalo than farther away. Near the water buffalo, there might be three birds per meter square. POPULATION DENSITY

5  Spatial distribution: is the pattern of spacing of a population whitin an area.  Population range: is a certain population of living beings that live in a certain place.  Limiting factors keep a population from contiuning to increase indefinitely. Decreasing a limiting factor, such as the available food supply, often changes the number of individuals that are able to survive in a given area. DYNAMICS POPULATION

6  Density in - dependent factors: any factor in the environment that does not depend on the number of members in a population per unit area is density – independent factor.  Example:  Flooding  Extreme heat or cold  Tornadoes  Hurricanes DYNAMICS POPULATION

7  Density – dependent factors : any factor in the environment that depends on the number of members in a population per unit area is a density – dependent factor.  Example:  Disease  Parasites  Competition DYNAMICS POPULATION

8  Population growth rate: explains how fast a given population grows. Exponential growth rate: it describes how fast a living being grows and how fast it reproduces DYNAMICS POPULATION

9  Logistic growth mode: its describes how animals doesnt have any offspring, then the opulation its growing till ot hits the carrying capacity and stops growing. DYNAMICS POPULATION

10  Carrying capacity: is the maximum number of individuals in a species that an environment can support for the long term.  Carrying capacity is limited by the energy, water, oxygen, and nutrients. DYNAMICS POPULATION

11  Zero population growth: occurs when the birthrate equals the death rate. One estimate is that the world will reach 2p6 between 2020 tith 6.64 billion people and in the 2029 tih 6.90 billion people. This will mean that the population has stopped growing. DYNAMICS POPULATION

12  Immigration: movement of individuals into a population  Emigration:movement of individuals out of a population. DYNAMICS POPULATION
