10. 10 BROOKHAVEN SCIENCE ASSOCIATES ESH Management CF has the following responsibilities for ESH during the project: Design to code and include engineered safety features to mitigate hazards identified in PHA Coordinate review and input to design by ESH SME ’ s Comply with environmental regulations and stay within operating envelope of the NEPA review (EA) and FONSI Incorporate sustainable design features and maximize sustainability within budget and operational limits (LEED Certification & possible silver rating) Select contractors that have above average safety performance Implement an effective construction safety program with 0 injury goal Document and test all systems to verify safe and efficient performance

11. 11 BROOKHAVEN SCIENCE ASSOCIATES Commissioning Cx contractor - Implements commissioning plan during construction Periodic site visits during installation Document test results & performance Follow thru on non-compliant results Prepares training & documentation for operating staff Provides info for LEED certification Provides post operation follow-up to verify performance NSLS II CF Team Assures As-built documents & system tests are completed Verifies operating & maintenance documents prepared & staff trained Coordinates beneficial occupancy Supports Operational Readiness as Accelerator & Exp. Systems are completed
