2. Since this restaurant will serve contemporary American cuisine I decided to entwine the food being served with the way the restaurant would be designed. I accomplished this by using more modern furnishings, incorporating new technologies, using vibrant colors, and using contemporary art. The artworks that I have used come mainly from Washington artist Dale Chihuly. I have incorporated some of his artworks in the form of a painting wall in the bar as well as chandeliers, glass gardens, and assorted decorative elements. This glass can transform between clear and translucent glass because it contains a Liquid Crystal sheet. That changes between clear and translucent when voltage is applied. Another technology that I used is Luminex Optical Fiber Fabric which has optical fibers woven that are connected to an LED light source and is activated by either battery or direct current.
