2 1. Click the arrow beside the SOLIDWORKS symbol 2. Under this arrow click on the “File” button 3. Click on the “Open…” button 4. Find your folder wherever your Part is saved to

3 5. Once you have selected your part, click “Open” 6. When your part is open, put your curser over the “File” button and select “Make Drawing from Part” 7. Customize the Width and Height of your sheet and press “Ok”

4 8. Click and drag the view that you want onto the sheet 9. This is what it should look like… 10. Drag and click your curser in any direction to get the next view

5 11. Click and drag all of your views from the top view (drag to the right side and you get your right view, left side to get your right view, down to get your bottom view and up to get your back view) 12. If you want to move your top view, click on the blue dotted line around the box

6 13. Once you’ve selected the blue dotted line, drag the box around and all of your views will move 14. To change the colour of a view, first select the middle box

8 20. To change the colour of one view, click on the view that you want and then select the style. If you want all of them the same style, hold down the “Ctrl” button and click on each view and then click the style.

9 21. To change the scale, first right click on the paper and select “Properties…” 22. Under the scale, change the 20 to whatever you want your scale to be and then click “OK” or enter.. 23. If you want to change the scale of only one view, click on the one view and go to the left side of the screen scroll down in the sidebar, and under the “Scale” box, select “Use custom scale” 24. Click on the arrow beside the “User Defined” button and you can either select what you want your scale to be or what user defined means is that you can personalize it

10 The normal automatic scale is 1:20 but I chose to make the view of the cabinet smaller so I changed it to 1:30.

11 To change the paper size, right click the paper and select “Properties…” Change the Width and Height to whatever sizes you want, 11in by 8.5in is a good size! Press “Ok” to finish

12 25. Right click the paper and go down to “Properties…” Last but not least! You have to check your type of projection 26. You can choose from either first angle or third angle, but you always have to make sure it is on third. 27. Once you have selected third angle, click “Ok” or press enter to finish off.
