3 Y.O.L.O. This year Pink is taking part in the Olweus Program. The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program (OBPP) is the most researched and best-known bullying prevention program available today. At Pink, we have named this Y.O.L.O. which will stand for Your Opportunity to Lead Others. Students will participate in weekly classroom meetings where guided discussions will take place regarding peer relations, problem solving, bullying, etc. The goal is to help students take ownership over developing strategies to reduce and/or eliminate bullying at Pink. 3

6 Olweus Bullying Prevention Program YOLO = OBPP Nationally recognized anti-bullying program that is being implemented throughout FISD Focuses on increased supervision of hot spots, classroom meetings for students to discuss bullying issues, better definitions of staff responsibility and follow through 6

11 Classroom-Level Components 1.OBPP is not a classroom management program, but is a way of helping teachers hone behavior management skills. 2.Rules: We will not bully others, We will try to help students who are bullied, we will try to include students who are left out, and if I know about someone who is being bullied I will let and adult at school or home know. 12 12 Anti-bullying We will not bully others. We will try to help students who are bullied. We will try to include students who are left out. If we know that somebody is being bullied, we will tell an adult at school and an adult at home.

13 Individual-Level Components In this realm, we are to supervise students’ activities, ensure that all staff intervene on- the-spot when bullying occurs, hold meetings with students involved in bullying, and develop individual intervention plans for involved students.
