2. 1. CATEGORY Hurricane Floyd started out as a category4, but decreased to a category2 Even though it was a category2 it was still devastating.

3. 2. WIND SPEED The maximum wind speed was 155 mph and the minimum pressure was 921 mbar.

4. 3. HURRICANE PATH Hurricane Floyd formed off the coast of Africa, hit the Bahamas and then travelled the East Coast of USA. It made landfall in Cape Fear, North Carolina.

5. 4. FATALITIES There were 57 fatalities from the Hurricane, 35 in North Carolina alone. 2.6 million people were evacuated.

6. 5. DAMAGE The hurricane caused $6.9 million in damages.

7. 6. STORM SEASON Hurricane Floyd was a Middle (peak season) storm that occurred in September.
