10 My Personal Favorite From COMDINST 3710.1 (series) D.2.b.(1) Warranted Efforts The probability of saving human life warrants a maximum effort. When no suitable alternatives exist and the mission has a reasonable chance of success, the risk of damage to or abuse of the aircraft is acceptable, even though such damage or abuse may render the aircraft unrecoverable.

11 “You can’t say that.” Oxygen systems are lifesaving systems. If they fail to work properly in an emergency your friends might die. There is no room for anything but strict adherence to maintenance standards and commitment to understanding how these systems operate.

Training, conditioning, and continuing education of rescue swimmers is vital to the success of helicopter rescue operations. As an AST1 you will be responsible for creating, monitoring, and managing a program that will have a direct effect on the lives of your team and the victims that rely on them for rescue. Training is a lifesaving operation. Mission -- Affirmed
