The Qur’an Called God’s “standing miracle”, Muslims honor all aspects of the Qur’an. Today, it is traditionally wrong to let the Qur’an touch the ground. Muslims carry the Qur’an with spiritual purity. Many Muslims memorize sections of the Qur’an in Arabic, leading them from birth to death.

The Sunnah Muhammad set an example for Muslims, called the Sunnah. These actions are an example for many Muslims. Muhammad’s actions include the importance of hospitality. He also made sure to capatalize obeying parents. The Sunnah is the second most important book in Islam.

The Hadith About 300 years after the death of Muhammad, stories of his acts spread through Islamic lands. Each story was verified by a Historian. Verified stories were grouped into collections. These stories, which are called hadith, provide the Sunnah through Muhammad’s words and deeds. These still have great influences today.

The Five Pillars of Islam The basic acts of worship for Islamic followers are the Five Pillars of Islam. The Qur’an makes up commands to perform these five duties. The Sunnah explains how how these can be performed though Muhammad’s life.
