3. What are the perceived challenges? Bureaucratic and not ‘user friendly’; arguably leads to tick box mentality Input not outcome (‘have you got one of these’ rather than ‘what are the results’) Requirements built on ‘old’ policies – modernisation required Training tool ‘clunky’ Independent validation of assessment missing (though larger organisations are supposed to have internal audit assessment) Not explicitly linked to strategic drivers of efficiency, safety, quality etc
