8 President’s Forum Proposals on the Bill suggest that Local Government either: support the relevant provision in the Bill; or support the general intent but propose amendments; or not support the provision; or request further information; or promote a way forward – “a better direction”.

9 President’s Forum Context LGA supports the continuous improvement of the planning system so that it: continues to be efficient and effective; delivers quality decisions within a clear policy framework Enhances the quality of life of the South Australian community.

10 President’s Forum The Bill has been prepared without: a formal review of the planning system; consideration of the substantial role Councils provide to support the planning system; statistical evidence; availability being made to Councils on the proposed templates/modules; …continued…
