3. Bursary process background Bursary process in place since November 2005 Automated bursary system since July 2006 System provides access via a web portal Bursaries provided according to needs defined in the INSETA SSP

4. Bursary process Bursary application procedure is as follows: –Training provider registers the employers learners –Training provider gets approval once accreditation confirmed by INSETA –Training provider submitting of bursary application –Verification process, using bursary policy rules –INSETA approves bursaries –Automated electronic provider notification –Provider submits invoice and supporting documentation –INSETA conducts payment – according to PFMA and internal policies
