1 Faculty Reviewers: Working with Applications ADMIT

2 Working with Applications Faculty reviewers will view the Faculty Review pool to access applications that have been assigned to him/her. Reviewers cannot see the reviews/comments of other reviewers who also have been assigned to review. Coordinators can also assign themselves as Reviewers if they like. Initially submitted reviews can only be seen by the coordinators, however, when applications are moved to Committee Review all committee members should be able to read individual reviews. Applications that have been assigned and not yet reviewed will display an orange box Applications that have been reviewed (by the individual reviewer) will have a green box

3 Working with Applications Faculty reviewers can evaluation applications in Admit or Admit Reader

4 Reviewing an Application – In Admit After reviewing an applicant’s file, you may record your opinion whether or not the applicant should be admitted into the program. Click on the applicant’s name Click on the Faculty Evaluations tab

5 Reviewing an Application – In Admit As you will see there are two sections in the Faculty Evaluation Faculty Reviewer’s Evaluations of Applicant – generally, this is the only section you are asked to complete. There are four questions asked: 1.On a scale of 1 to 5, what is your overall rating of this applicant? 2.In your opinion, should this applicant be admitted to the Wharton PhD Program? 3.Comments/Notes 4.Should the coordinator review your comments? Interview Review (If Applicable) – if the coordinator has asked you to interview the applicant (via phone, Skype, etc.) you may be asked to complete this section as well 1.On a scale of 1 to 5, how would you rate the communication skills of this applicant? 2.On a scale of 1 to 5, how prepared is this applicant? 3.On a scale of 1 to 5, what is the overall rating of this applicant? EXTREMELY IMPORTANT! After you have completed your review, you must click both the COMPLETED button and SAVE buttons!

6 Reviewing an Application – In Admit After you hit SAVE: The application will display a green box. You can go back into your review and make changes by click on the applicant’s name and click the Faculty Evaluations tab. Applications will not be manually removed from the Faculty Review pool until all assigned reviews for the application have been completed. You can use the Remove option in the Actions dropdown menu to manually remove the application from our pool.

7 Reviewing an Application – In Admit Reader You may also review and evaluate an applicant in Admit Reader. Admit reader is a mobile- friendly reader that can be used on tablets. After reviewing an applicant’s file, you may record your opinion whether or not the applicant should be admitted into the program. 1) In Admit Reader, click on the applicant’s name

8 Reviewing an Application – In Admit Reader 1.The applicant’s application sections will open in the browser to review 2.PDFs of supplemental materials are available by clicking on PDF 3.To evaluate, click on Evaluate An Evaluation form will pop open to evaluate the applicant 4. An Evaluation form will pop open to evaluate the applicant

9 Reviewing an Application – In Admit Reader EXTREMELY IMPORTANT! After you have completed your review, you must click the COMPLETE EVALUATION button! After you hit SAVE: The application will be removed from your Admit Reader dashboard You can go back into your review and make changes by clicking on the applicant’s name and click Evaluation You must click save to update the evaluation
