20 MLA OR APA? APA emphasizes the date of the publication, MLA does not. Therefore: Disciplines that want the latest and greatest ideas prefer APA citation (math, chemistry, biology, psychology, economics, physics, etc.) Disciplines that want timeless ideas prefer MLA (history, literature, theology, philosophy, etc.)

26 IF YOUR SOURCE DOES NOT FIT WELL, TRY ANOTHER TYPE OF SOURCE FILL IN THE BLANKS AS BEST AS POSSIBLE

27 PREVIEW WHAT YOUR CITATION WILL LOOK LIKE

28 USUALLY AT THE END OF THE SENTENCE PUT YOUR CURSOR WHERE THE CITATION WILL GO
