LIVING THINGS What is a living thing? Living things are made of cells, obtain and use energy, grow and develop, reproduce, respond to environment, and adapt to their environment. Greenland and Antarctica barley have any living things. All living things must be able to obtain and utilize energy. Only living organisms are characterized by the process of metabolism, reproduction and evolution.
