12 SUGGESTIONS FROM MY INTERVIEWEE Don’t be afraid to share your knowledge You never know when something you thought was inconsequential is not only relevant, but a “fresh perspective” that nobody else considered. Be Confident Building that confidence can assist you in more ways than you think Assert Yourself It’s okay to stand your ground and ask a question. You never know unless you ask. Engage yourself to be changeable and shapeable Realize that first impressions are not always correct, be willing to LISTEN to those around you, and learn from your experiences

13 CONCLUSION Through confidence and ambition, we are able to shape the outcome of our development. Building our interpersonal skills magnetizes our abilities to gain confidence, respect, and power. It starts with our history, and it forever changes as we evolve and learn from our experiences. As we take the advise from others, we always choose whether to listen and reflect on them or not. By opening that door and utilizing the experiences of others as well as our own, we can develop more opportunities and enhance our personal growth. “The doors we open and close each day decide the lives we live.” Flora Whittemore
