6. 6 Federal Aviation Administration Flight Standards SMS Effort 6 SMS Pilot Project Transition Part 5 will end SMSPP for part 121 certificate holders but will continue for 135, 145, 141, and others meeting entry criteria SMSPP guidance material will be updated to Part 5 Part 121s in SMSPP will revise their implementation plans and submit to FAA for part 5 approval SMSPP Levels will no longer be mandatory but may be used as milestones within existing or future implementation plans SMSPO will provide bridging guidance and ongoing support to certificate holders, CMTs and CMOs
