He was nicknamed “Rocket Richard What: Even after a long day of moving furniture, (including a piano) that night at game seven playoff hockey game, Maurice Richard was able to score 8 points; 5 goals, and 3 assists. When: December 28, 1944, Maurice Richard was 23 years old Where: Montreal, Canada Why: It was chosen to be a heritage minute because Maurice Richard is a hockey legend.

2 Jaques Plante Who: Jaques Plante was a goalie for the Montreal Canadians. What: While playing in a hockey game, Jaques plante took a forcefull slap shot to the face. He agreed to play in the next hockey game as long as he could wear his mask. He truly did change the face of hockey forever, and that slap shot definetly change his face forever When:

3 Jackie Robinson Who: Jackie Robinson, he played for the Montreal Royals, he was number 42. What: Mr. Robinson was an african American, meaning that he broke baseballs colour barrier. On his first game, he made drove in four homeruns, with only four hits, and he stole two bases! When: He played his first game in 1946 Where: Jersy city, New Jersey, was where he played his first game. Why: Jackie Robinson was the first african American to play in the national baseball league.
