Luke 24 13. And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs. 14. And they talked together of all these things which had happened. 15. And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them. 16. But their eyes were holden that they should not know him. 17. And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad? WHAT IS THE MANNER OF YOUR COMMUNICATION? 02-03-13 PM

WHAT IS THE MANNER OF YOUR COMMUNICATION? Matthew 12 34. O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. 35. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. 36. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Proverbs 18 21. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences. (RESULTS) THE POWER OF THE TONGUE GOOD THINGS EVIL THINGS JUSTIFIED CONDEMNED LIFE DEATH

1: SALVATION Romans 10 9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

2: POWER Mark 11 22. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

3: PRAISE Hebrews 13 15. By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

4: EDIFICATION Deuteronomy 3 28. But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.

5: KINDNESS Proverbs 31 10. Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. 26. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

6: HEALING Proverbs 12 18. There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health. Some people make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise bring healing. Proverbs 15 23. A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!

7: ETERNAL LIFE John 6 68. Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 2 Corinthians 5 20. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
