2. Objective: By the end of today’s lesson students will be able to:  define the word natural resources  list specific examples of natural resources  locate books on natural resources in the media center.

3. What Are Natural Resources? NaturalResources Something that is found or produced in nature. Something that can be used for help or support.

4. Natural Resource Natural Resource A resource that exists naturally on earth.

5. Activity Sort the books on your table into 2 piles. One pile will contains things that are natural resources. One pile will contain things that are not natural resources.

6. Let’s use a graphic organizer help us to keep track of our information.

8. How do you find books on natural resources in the library? Keywords: (natural resources, wind, sun, trees, water…..) Help find the information in the Patrons Catalog. Dewey Decimal Numbers: (the books shelf address) Help find the books on the Media Center’s shelf.

9. Dewey Decimal Numbers 500 Section: Science & Math math, weather, solar system, nature, rocks & minerals and animals. 600 Section: Technology human body, cars, space travel, pets, farm animals, cooking and building.
