3 Early childhood  Born in Totnes, Devonshire, England in 1791  Was a very sickly child  Started school at age 10  He was a very curious child  Science and +math were favorite subject

4 How and where educated  Was educated at Trinity College in Cambridge, England.  Graduated Trinity at age 23 in England  Received advanced degree in mathematics

5 What He Achieved In Math  He created the difference engine.  At the age of thirty he received a advanced mathematics degree.  His first model of the difference engine never generated a wrong answer  Babbage worked out the first speedometer.  Never finished his second difference engine.  First model could only do 6-8 digits.

6 How we use his math today!  Our small caculator is basically his difference engine  We use his ideas to make our modern computer
