2 How to play Chinese Checkers is a simple board game that can be played by two to six people. The point of the game is to place all of your pieces in the opposite corner of a six pointed star by single moves or jumps over other pieces. Zhong guo tiao qi is how you say Chinese Checkers in Chinese.

4 Chinese Checkers Board The Chinese Checker board has 121 dents arranged to form a six pointed star with ten spots within each triangular point of the star. The game pieces are usually six sets of colored marbles, ten of each color. Each set of pieces is in their own star point.

6 History Despite being called Chinese Checkers the game was not invented in China or any part of Asia. Chinese Checkers is not a different kind of checkers. The game was made in Germany in 1893. 8 How to Make Moves The aim of the game is to enter all of your pieces into the opposite “Home base” (star point) on the other side of the board before any other player finishes entering their pieces. In the “hop across”, most popular way to play, each player puts his or her own colored pieces on one of the six corners of the star to the opposite corner. Players take turns moving one marble, either by moving it one single diagonal step or jumping over another marble.
