3 College and University Programs Hotel and Lodging Management Restaurant and Foodservice Management Travel and Tourism Management Leisure/Sports Management Hospitality Management Hotel and Restaurant Management *Four-Year Bachelor Degrees

4 Community College Options Hotel and Restaurant Management Travel and Tourism Culinary Technology Program Hospitality Systems Management Program Hospitality and Tourism Management Hotel, Restaurant, and Resort Management Travel Systems Operations Hospitality Management Chef Apprentice Dietetic Technician Food Service/Restaurant Management *Two Year Programs *Could be affiliated with a four year degree program

5 Specialty School Options Certification: Authorization stating that one has fulfilled the requirements for practicing in a field or career. Certifications, include: – Certified Hotel Administrator – Certified Lodging Manager – Certified Food and Beverage Executive – Certified Hospitality Sales Professional – Certified Hospitality Educator – Certified Travel Associate *Less time than college degrees

6 Professional and Trade Organizations Group or association dedicated to a specific trade or profession. Provide valuable resources to the industry and its members. Hospitality and Tourism Organizations: – American Hotel and Motel Association – American Society of Travel Agents – American Tour Association – Cruise Lines International Association – International Association of Culinary Professionals

7 On-the-Job Training Apprenticeship: educational, hands-on experience working in an established business under the guidance of a skilled worker. – Also internships or cooperative educational experiences. May be paid or unpaid.
