11 11 Wi-Fi Alliance Beijing September 2009 Wi-Fi in China Today: New poll shows strong affinity for Wi-Fi among Chinese broadband users In August 2009, Wi-Fi Alliance and CCIDNET.com polled more than 1,000 Chinese broadband users 40% of these Chinese broadband subscribers have used Wi-Fi 77% of Chinese Wi-Fi users say they like Wi-Fi convenience most of all 60% of Chinese Wi-Fi users use Wi-Fi every week –Read news – 69% –Work – 62% –Check email – 53% –Chat– 48% –Play video games – 34% –Watch or share multimedia – 31%

14 14 Wi-Fi Alliance Beijing September 2009 Evolving the Wi-Fi Offering: Updates to 802.11n Wi-Fi certification will preserve compatibility IEEE 802.11n finalization expected later this month Wi-Fi Alliance has reaffirmed the draft 2.0 certification requirements, and will add some optional features All Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 802.11n products will interoperate with Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 802.11n draft 2.0 products All Wi-Fi CERTIFIED products must support WPA2/AES security features About 50% of products shipped this year will support 802.11n technology
