3. 3 An uncontrolled temper often leads to saying bad words and doing wrong things. It will result in poor decisions being made and often broken friendships, and these results are usually worse than the initial problem that caused the temper tantrum in the first place! Our text tells us that, sadly, a hot- tempered person does not easily learn patience, and he repeats the same error again and again.

6. 6 Explanation: The chemicals involved in this demonstration are vinegar--a dilute solution of acetic acid, baking soda-- sodium bicarbonate, and carbon dioxide gas. Carbon dioxide forms in large amounts when vinegar and baking soda are combined.

7. 7 Carbon dioxide is also in carbonated drinks to give them their fizz. A container of soda pop, when thoroughly shaken and then opened, gives an effect similar to that in this demonstration.
