Discussing supply and installation of RTU and communications along with actuator simultaneously. Power Grid, Singapore: 500 remotely controlled RMUs, equipped with actuators and provision for Control Box and with LV control and monitoring terminations.

Rapier RX-RC24 devices are embedded with DNP3 firmware and communications achieved via the GSM network. Central Networks, UK: Trials of automated FRMUs for Auto-changeover at open point and Auto-open at midpoint. Equipped with Gemini-RTU and Paknet communications. 350 off Rapier RX-RC12’s installed on network. Northern Ireland Electricity, UK: Trials of Rapier RX-RC12s being remotely controlled using the IEC 60870-5-101 protocol and high power radio communications. 120 off Gemini-RTUs supplied for autorecloser interfaces. United Utilities, UK: Trial of two automated Rapier RX-RC’s at open points; equipped with Gemini-RTUs and GSM communications.
