2 Scientists have collected the following data by measuring the masses of several samples of oil. The volume of each sample of oil was measured using a graduated cylinder and then masses using a scale.

4 Graphing Density The Scientists want to know the density of the oil. To do this we will need to make a line graph of the data points

5 Graphing Density First we need to Identify the independent and dependent variable –The scientists took different volumes of the oil. This means the volume is the independent variable And the mass is the dependent variable

6 Next we need to label the dependent and independent variable on our graph Graphing Density Dependent Variable Independent Variable
