In 1965 Canada adopted the current flag changed from the Union Jack

In 1920 the North West Mounted Police, became known as the RCMP.

Have the power to pass laws known as by-laws affecting local community
Includes a Mayor and Councillors =)

Are responsible for National Defense, Foreign Policy, Citizenship and Policing.
The elected officials are the Members of Parliament (MPs) =)
