Date SUMMARY: Should be 3-4 sentences written to summarize the notes AFTER they have been taken.

8 Inferences ► Logical conclusion based on something already known or believed to be true ► Uses observations but creates an explanation or thought  Example: She is wearing a coat, it must be cold outside.

10 Note the Differences ► During experiments, scientists record observations NOT inferences ► Inferences are used in the conclusion in your lab report and come from research.
