Her choreography has been performed by ten companies in six states: Houston, TX Oklahoma City, OK Atlanta, GA Asheville & High Point, NC Roanoke, VA Knoxville & Chattanooga, TN

Ms. Nilsson was named the sole 2003 runner-up for - The Project: Choreographic Commission The highest award given by Regional Dance America & SERBA

In 2004, Ms. Nilsson was commissioned by Gwinnett Ballet Theatre to create all-new choreography for their annual, full-length production of The Nutcracker.

The Nutcracker was a tremendous success, with sixteen sold-out and near sold-out shows, and was restaged for 2005.

In 2006, Ms. Nilsson was invited by The Georgia Ballet to set a new work on their Professional Company.

La Deseada (2003) La Deseada was was selected by the Southeastern Regional Ballet Association for Gala Credit.

La Deseada won Ms. Nilsson recognition as runner–up “Project Choreographer” - and won - Georgia Youth Ballet an invitation to perform in Atlanta’s “Ellington Celebration” later that year.
