2. The #1 priority in the science lab is safety. EVERYONE is responsible for safety. If an accident happens, tell the teacher immediately!!!

3. Safety Eye safety – wear goggles when using chemicals, flames, or heating devices. Flush eyes for 15 min. with water. Sharp object – Walk with point down Cut away from fingers and hands.

4. Heating chemicals – Always tie long hair back Read all labels 2 times before you use them.

5. OPERATING THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER PPull the Pin AAim the hose at the bottom SSqueeze the handle SSweep the hose back and forth.

6. Thermal safety Use caution when handling hot objects.

7. Clothing Protection Safety Substances could stain or burn clothing.

8. Fire Safety Care should be taken around an open flame.
