5. Conference Finances Conference budget under development. Conference costs very likely to exceed $500K US research agencies approached with request for ~$300K. Reactions positive so far. No firm commitments yet. Denver area laboratories, universities, NCAR, and corporations have expressed support for the Denver site of the OSC – another potential source of financial support (e.g. sponsor a reception, etc). Potential international sponsors approached about sponsorship. UCAR-JOSS has been enlisted to support the Conference. Open Science Conference
