3 Learning Objectives Learn some words for describing someone’s appearance and style. Identify whether a word is masculine or feminine, and use le/la or un/une correctly with it.

4 LE / LA  THE UN / UNE  A DES  SOME Think carefully about which one you want to say!

5 Task 1 Find as many words for different clothes as you can, and write the French and English in the LES VÊTEMENTS box on your sheet. DO NOT write le/la before the words. Instead, use 2 different colours to show which are masculine and which are feminine. Lesson 1

8 COLOURS MATCHING Add some kind of game to recap colours here – I used one on Linguascope5

9 Task 2 Fill in the LES COULEURS box with different colours in French.
Colours are adjectives, and some adjectives change if describing a feminine word Make sure you write down the masculine AND feminine forms of the words. Lesson 1 9

10 Task 3 Le Tissu describes what clothes are made from. 12 Task 4 Find some adjectives for describing someone’s style or an item of clothing, e.g. sporty, scruffy, old-fashioned. Make sure you write down the masculine AND feminine forms If you’re stuck for ideas, think of some celebrities and imagine how you’d describe their style. 12
