8. 3 EXAMPLES OF BIOREGIONS IN CAN. A. TUNDRA – cold region, with small shrubs, lichens and mosses. This region has a short growing season. B. WETLANDS – usually found on the Canadian Shield Landform region because of the rock. Water does not soak in. Swamps and Marshes. C. WOODLOT – forest land left when farms were created along the St. Lawrence River.

9. Group Activity. You will need the handout titled “Three Examples of Bioregions in Canada”. you are going to draw pictures to represent these three bioregions. Discuss in your groups the pictures/symbols/icons best to use to describe each bioregion.
