2 Militarism Political policy that is dominated by the military and the competitive buildup of arms

3 Imperialism and nationalism led to increased production of goods and economic stability in these countries This resulted in an arms race The aggressive attitude of this policy drove them into producing more weaponry, such as strong navies and armored vehicles.

13 TREATY OF VERSAILLES The Peace To End All War - Wilson a reformer wanted Peace without victory and urged his 14 points - Lloyd George and George Clemenceau wanted harsh treatment for Germany They wanted Germany to never threaten them again

14 Treaty of Versailles June 1919 Territorial losses- Land taken from Germany, Poland was created, Alsace/Lorraine returned to France, Colonies lost. Military Restrictions- Demilitarization of German armed forces, removal of troops from the Rhineland War Guilt- German’s had to accept full responsibility for war and payments of reparations
