1. Sikh Community in Solidarity in the Aftermath of Hurricane Sandy

2. Hurricane Sandy “The Superstorm” has affected around 50 million lives in the United States of America leaving people homeless powerless, and struggling with hunger. UNITED SIKHS responded to the needs immediately with task forces on the ground and continues to do so.

3. Action so far by UNITED SIKHS Distributing an average of 1500 meals a day in New York and New Jersey Distributed average of 3000 water bottles so far Distributing an average of 150 Blankets and Towels per day

6. AND The Need is still on ………… Needs on real time basis IN New York and New Jersey: – 1250 Blankets – 1000 towels – 2500 AA500 batteries – 1125 Flashlights

7. We thank the all the Gurdwaras, agencies and especially all the sangat who have been volunteering their time and efforts to works towards this noble cause. The efforts shows how Sikh Community is and has always been driven by “ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਚਰਦੀ ਕਲਾ । ਤੇਰੇ ਭਾਣੇ ਸਰਬਤ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ । ”
