16 Criteria for Inquiry Questions Questions are always based on the experiences of the learners: What’s going on for your learners? How do you know? Why does it matter?

17 Criteria for Inquiry Questions you care about it it is strength-based, it is optimistic (it is fun to think and learn about) it focuses on your classroom practice it is within your control it is important: it would make a difference you can do it: it is manageable and possible, you will be able to observe/find evidence it is honest: it is a real question it will lead to action it makes a difference

18 Say Something … following the focus group, take a few minutes, turn to the person next to you and respond to something you have heard a connection you made something you would like to hold onto something that made you think differently
