2 II Thes. 3:11 “For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.” “prying into other people's affairs.” Living Oracles 1 Peter 4:15 “But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.”

3 Phil. 2:4 “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.”

4 Ephesians 4:11 “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; Shepherd - “feed” 1 Pet.5:1-3 This shows they must be concerned about others

Take care of the church Elders must be involved in the lives of members This shows they must be concerned about others

8 Elders are to:  Keep the sheep from straying - Heb. 13:17  Go after straying sheep - Luke 15  Protect sheep from wolves – Acts 20:28

9 “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” 2 Tim. 4:2 Reprove = convict, tell a fault Rebuke = admonish for sins and wrong Exhort = encourage to greater fidelity The preacher will be concerned about others
