1st Timothy 6:11-16 COACH’S HALFTIME SPEECH

1 Timothy 6:11-16 (ESV) 11 But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13 I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in His testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, 14 to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 which He will display at the proper time—He Who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 Who alone has immortality, Who dwells in unapproachable light, Whom no one has ever seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.

2 Timothy 2:20-22 (ESV) 20 Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable. 21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work. 22 So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

Proverbs 15:9 (ESV) 9 The way of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, but He loves him who pursues righteousness.

Matthew 27:11 (ESV) 11 Now Jesus stood before the Governor, and the Governor asked him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” Jesus said, “You have said so.”

John 18:37 (ESV) 37 Then Pilate said to Him, “So You are a King?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a King. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the Truth. Everyone who is of the Truth listens to My voice.”

Revelation 1:5 (ESV) 5 and from Jesus Christ the Faithful Witness, the Firstborn of the dead, and the Ruler of kings on earth. To Him Who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood

Psalm 104:1-2 (ESV) 1 Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, You are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty, 2 covering Yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent.

Job 37:23 (ESV) 23 The Almighty—we cannot find Him; He is great in power; justice and abundant righteousness He will not violate.

John 1:18 (ESV) 18 No one has ever seen God; the only God, Who is at the Father’s side, He has made Him known.
