1 Georgia Gateway– Integrated Eligibility System (IES)
WIC Customer Service Conference August 2015 15 minutes total 1 min

2 What is Georgia Gateway?
The new integrated eligibility system (IES) will enhance or completely replace systems and processes across 6 benefit programs The system will: Provide a one stop shop for consumers to apply for and manage their benefits for WIC, Medical Assistance, SNAP, TANF, LIHEAP and Child Care Centralize client information and verifications Provide standardized business rules for financial eligibility determination Reduce potential fraud, waste, and abuse by offering unique IDs and EMPI Provide single statewide system for more streamlined case transfers across health districts Improve reporting capabilities to reduce time spent manually gathering and tracking information Centralize latest client information and verifications and make it available across the six benefit programs – means that WIC customers potentially will have to bring in lesser verification documents than currently since most of them are on Medicaid, SNAP and TANF currently and have already docs in DIS Make available eligibility summary information across programs (e.g., current Medicaid eligibility status) to all IES users – can help WIC workers determine benefits potentially faster (will not have to use other systems like GAMMIS etc.) – if you’re eligible for MA, SNAP, TANF – you’re categorically financially eligible for WIC Offer the opportunity to have potentially faster and streamlined cross-county/health district WIC case transfers through the use of single statewide system Monitor employee workload in real time providing opportunities for performance improvement and reduces time wasted in manual reporting – current employee frustrations with PARS
