Road freight CO 2 -emissions are forecast to continue rising Avoid-Shift-Reduce Road freight will continue to play a large role in the transportation system Electric Road System (ERS) WHY HOW Electrification is twice as energy efficient and enables the use of renewable energy Battery power for long distance road haulage is not practical On heavily used roads, continuous and dynamic supply of electricity is an option. This is called Electric Road System (ERS)
